Leslie Willcocks has a global reputation for his work on outsourcing, digital business, strategy, international management, and organizational change. He is Professor of Technology Work and Globalization and Director of the Outsourcing Unit at the Department of Management at London School of Economics and Political Science.
He is also Associate Fellow at Templeton College, Oxford, and Visiting Professor In Information Systems at Erasmus University, Rotterdam and at University of Melbourne. He holds a doctorate in information systems from the University of Cambridge, and has been for the last 24 years Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Information Technology.
He is also Fellow of the British Computer Society and of the Institute of Personnel Development. He is a regular keynote speaker at international practitioner and academic conferences, has extensive global consulting experience, and has been retained as adviser and expert witness by major corporations and several government institutions in the UK, USA and Australia. He is the most cited author in the field of outsourcing and has co-authored over 230 refereed journal articles, and numerous reports on the subject.
